  72. Quiptics for Windows brings all the challenge and enjoyment of solving
  73. and constructing cryptograms exactly like the ones found in the daily or
  74. Sunday newspapers to the Microsoft Windows environment, and has added
  75. plenty of powerful and exciting features. Quiptics cryptograms can be
  76. solved at two levels of difficulty. You can make your own cryptograms

  102. ===== Installation =====================================
  103.  
  104. The installation procedure for Quiptics is quite simple.  The
  105. software comes with its own Windows 95 installer, which is installed
  106. through the Windows Control Panel.
  107.  
  108. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  109. Enigmacross.
  110.  
  111. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  112.  
  113. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  114.  
  115.    o  Place the Quiptics distribution diskette in the appropriate
  116.       diskette drive.
  117.  
  118.    o  From a DOS window, unzip the distribution file to a temporary
  119.       directory on your hard drive. We then recommend that you copy all
  120.       the files from the temporary directory back onto a blank, new
  121.       floppy disk. This is your Master Disk.
  122.  
  123.    o  Click on the Start button. From the Settings menu, click on
  124.       Control Panel. Double click on Add/Remove Programs. On the
  125.       Install/Uninstall page of the Add/Remove Properties dialog box,
  126.       click on Install. Click on Next in the Install Program from Floppy
  127.       Disk or CD-ROM dialog box. Click on Finish. This launches the
  128.       Quiptics for Windows Setup Program. Simply follow the instructions
  129.       and in less than one minute, Quiptics will be installed.
  130.  
  131. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  132.  
  133. If you downloaded Quiptics from an on-line service or from the Internet,
  134. you will need to perform the following steps.
  135.  
  136.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  137.       directory on your hard drive. Copy all of the files from the
  138.       temporary directory to a blank, new floppy disk. This is your
  139.       Master Disk. Now follow the exact directions as detailed
  140.       previously for installation from a disk.
  141.  
  142. When you're satisfied that the installation was successful, you should
  143. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed Quiptics,
  144. including all its contents.

  147. YOU'RE READY TO GO
  148.  
  149. Once you've complete the installation, you should consult the on-line
  150. Help File from within the program itself. After launching Quiptics,
  151. from the Windows Main Menu, select Help.
